Paris is a city that was settled around 1775 and is located in Bourbon County, Kentucky. A town was originally referred to as Hopewell, Virginia whilst it was chartered around 1789. A title was changed within 1790 to reflect apprectiation for French assistance during a Revolutionary War. Its touristry slogan is "Horses, history and hospitality".
